The Legacy Founders

A tree lives for decades.
Sometimes for centuries.

We're setting aside ten designated spots on the land at The Burrow — three along the riverside and seven in the central grove. Each one becomes a Legacy Founder Tree: a native species chosen for this soil, planted by hand, and cared for by local arborists for the life of the resort. You'll be able to return every year, stand beneath your tree, and watch it grow taller than the treehouses.

What Founders Receive

A place here, permanently.

A Native Tree, Chosen & Tended

We select a native species suited to this ground — oak, maple, sycamore — plant it in your designated spot, and keep it maintained by local arborists for generations to come.

A Custom Dedication Placard

A bronze-finished placard set at the base of your tree. Dedicate it to a loved one who has passed, a family member, a beloved pet, or a charity that matters to you. Your words, cast in metal.

One Free Stay Every Year — For Life

As a Legacy Founder you receive one complimentary night's stay at The Burrow every single year, for life. Come back, visit your tree, and stay in the trees yourself.

The Dedication

In memory, in honor, in someone's name.

Every Legacy Founder Tree carries a custom placard. Some will honor a parent or grandparent. Some a spouse, a child, a dog who loved the woods. Some a cause worth remembering. You choose the words — we'll email you after you claim your spot to finalize the engraving together.

The Land

Ten spots. Already mapped.

Three Riverside Grove trees line the creek. Seven Central Grove trees sit between the A-frame and the Pinecone treehouse. Spots are claimed first come, first served — the sooner you claim, the more choice you have.

Planted To Last

Native species, hand planted, arborist maintained.

We don't plant ornamentals that fade in a decade. Every Legacy Founder Tree is a native species selected by us for this soil and this climate — the kind of tree that can stand for a hundred years or more. Local arborists prune, water, and protect it, and we'll send you a photo each year so you can watch it grow between visits.

Planting Day

Be there when it goes in the ground.

Founders are invited out to the land along Sunday Creek for planting day — hands in the soil, water from the creek, your placard set in place. And if you can't make it in person, we'll document the whole thing on video for you: your spot, your tree going in, and your dedication read aloud, sent straight to your inbox.
